I joined BERT after a presentation they had at the middle school my 8th grade year. I joined mostly to gain experience I knew I wouldn't get at school and to have fun creating a moving, working robot.
The best memory of BERT I have experienced is every time we walked down onto the playing field to accept an award.
Bert has given me the knowledge of robotics and given me experiences I have never dreamed of getting.
I will be attending a 4 year university to pursue a degree in Environmental Science and I will go back to get my Masters.

One year at a yard sale fundraiser the pop-up tent I was under flipped over because of a sudden gust of wind. I was afraid to go back under it for the rest of the day.
I've found a great group of friends and I am learning a lot that I never would have learned had I not joined. It's also given me a great feeling of belonging and worth.
Not sure what I want to do yet -- maybe something in the social sciences -- but I know I'm going to college, and it will be somewhere in New England.
Save the world!
